After you officially get under contract, we start the loan process. The initial steps involve gathering documents needed for underwriting, ordering title, ordering appraisal, etc. You will also be required to esign initial documents and your intent to proceed with the loan. Once those are done and all documents collected, your file is submitted to underwriting for review.
Underwriting does a "deep dive" into your credit, documents, etc and decides if any other documents or clarification of anything is required for final loan approval. If there are additional items needed, the processor will reach out and explain them and gather the remaining items needed for final loan approval. It is very important that all documents are provided as needed and in a timely fashion to avoid any delays in closing.
